The tie-up with ESI Group, a leading provider of digital
simulation software for prototyping and manufacturing processes, would involve
the integration of DiEdifice, a software product developed by Neilsoft for designing
high pressure die-casting dies, within ESIs software environment. While
ESI will market the product in the international market, Neilsoft, which owns
the IPR, will continue to focus on the Indian market. In addition to ESIs
plans to bundle DiEdifice with its own offering, the company will also look
at selling it as a standalone product and leverage this to push its own product.
Said Prashanth Chunduri, marketing manager for Neilsoft, DiEdifice is
basically targeted at the automobile sector, which is a large market abroad.
We are also tapping the electrical and plumbing segments where there is a huge
need for high-pressure die casting equipment. Since we have already established
a brand image in the Indian market we will continue to directly market products
here.
Neilsoft has partnered with Tribon, leaders in the
shipping segment, to market Neilsoft Outfit Steel in the global market. The
module, a new modelling tool for the Tribon M2 shipbuilding system, enables
designers to quickly and accurately create and place outfit steel objects into
the Tribon product information model (Tribon PIM). The outfit steel objects
available include walkways, ladders, staircases, and masts. According to the
terms of the agreement, Neilsoft will customise Tribon applications for the
companys existing users and will also develop new tools using the Tribon
M2 developers toolkit. Said Chunduri, 80 percent of the top shipyards
in the world are Tribon customers. This opens up vast vistas for us, as Tribon
will now sell the Outfit Steel module to its existing customers and also to
all new customers the company garners.
According to Chunduri, other than the global reach
provided by the tie-ups, Neilsoft also stands to gain in terms of huge savings,
which it would have otherwise incurred in brand building exercises. The partners
will also act as a funnel to push Neilsofts services business.
Currently, Neilsoft is in the process of developing
several other products for the engineering industry. It plans to launch Neilsoft
Cabin Design by the end of this year for the shipping industry. The company
is also in the process of developing an enterprise-wide collaboration suite
specifically for the engineering industry. Neilsoft will be looking at more
international partnerships to market these products once the products are ready.
Said Chunduri, Though we have clients like Kinetic Engineering, Sundaram
Clayton, etc, as clients in India, the opportunities in the international market
are immense.
