Omnesys unveils NEST XL

Chitra Padmanabhan / Mumbai

Omnesys Technologies, a company specialising in products and solutions for the securities markets, has launched NEST XL, targeted at the derivatives market. It is a fully integrated online trading system for securities, binding all clients like sub-brokers and individual investors into an integrated real-time system. NEST XL gives options traders the power to gauge risks and aids them in the analysis of their portfolio. The tool calculates the critical parameters of the option portfolio in a central server and broadcasts these into an Excel sheet.

“Option traders face several dimensions of risks and the tool carries out a scenario analysis where the impact on the option position of alternative future scenarios is evaluated. This involves calculating the gain or loss on a trader portfolio over a specified period under a variety of different scenarios,” says Athul Kudva, vice president, Omnesys Technologies. Omnesys is an empanelled vendor in premier exchanges like NSE and BSE and has been well accepted by leading brokerage houses.

This implementation will help IRCTC streamline business processes and information flow across its countrywide operation. IRCTC will soon scale up to a 7,000-employee catering and tourism operation spread over 1,000 locations across India.
