ADP to set up $2 mn centre in Hyderabad

In a significant move to expand its Indian
operations, ADP Inc, provider of computerised transaction processing,
data communications and information services, is getting ready to
set up its global technology centre in Hyderabad.
The new facility will offer mission-critical
service and support to over 500 clients globally. Explaining the
decision to set up its GTC in India, Malcolm Throne, vice president
and general manager for CRM at ADP said, India has all the
advantageslocation, quality manpower, time zone differential,
IT infrastructure and supportive regulatory environmentwhich
compelled ADP to expand its technology backbone operations.
As part of its expansion plans, ADP is
setting up a 40,000 square feet facility at a cost of $2 million.
During the current fiscal, ADP plans to
increase its workforce in Hyderabad to 1,000 by recruiting 600 employees
for the new facility. It expects to generate a growth rate above
25 percent during the next one year.
Says Ayush Maheshwari, director technical
services and operations at ADP, Our primary focus will be
to expand utilisation across several areas to improve time-to-market,
service level quality and quality of life for our associates. This
expansion is keeping in line with ADPs firm-footed approach
towards establishing and growing its businesses worldwide.
