ADP to set up $2 mn centre in Hyderabad

Venkat Pulapaka / Hyderabad

In a significant move to expand its Indian operations, ADP Inc, provider of computerised transaction processing, data communications and information services, is getting ready to set up its global technology centre in Hyderabad.

The new facility will offer mission-critical service and support to over 500 clients globally. Explaining the decision to set up its GTC in India, Malcolm Throne, vice president and general manager for CRM at ADP said, “India has all the advantages—location, quality manpower, time zone differential, IT infrastructure and supportive regulatory environment—which compelled ADP to expand its technology backbone operations.”

As part of its expansion plans, ADP is setting up a 40,000 square feet facility at a cost of $2 million.

During the current fiscal, ADP plans to increase its workforce in Hyderabad to 1,000 by recruiting 600 employees for the new facility. It expects to generate a growth rate above 25 percent during the next one year.

Says Ayush Maheshwari, director technical services and operations at ADP, “Our primary focus will be to expand utilisation across several areas to improve time-to-market, service level quality and quality of life for our associates. This expansion is keeping in line with ADP’s firm-footed approach towards establishing and growing its businesses worldwide.”
