PeopleSoft, Hexaware to set up ISC

PeopleSoft has announced that it will set up and expand its India services centre (ISC) in partnership with Hexaware Technologies. The centre in Bangalore, which will focus on development, implementation and support of PeopleSoft enterprise solutions for customers worldwide, is expected to employ 300 people by the end of the year. PeopleSoft plans to invest over $30 million in the project over the next couple of years.

Said Ram Gupta, executive vice president, products and technology for PeopleSoft, “The facility will offer remote configuration capability utilising PeopleSoft’s lab-based implementation methodology, providing high-quality service while driving down cost and time for implementations and upgrades.”

Currently, the PeopleSoft practice contributes around 21 percent to Hexaware’s total revenues; with the new venture, this figure could go up to 25, according to Hexaware CEO Rusi Brij.
