HEW solution on Simputer - Circuit EC / Bangalore
HEW Software Technologies has launched HEWSales, a sales force automation solution. HEWSales will be ported onto the Encore Simputer. The front-end of HEWSales will sit on the Simputer whereas the back end will be on a PC. Sales people will carry the Simputer along with them. HEWSales is said to streamline sales-follow-ups, allows for an integrated approach towards managing sales processes and also helps contribute towards enhanced sales effectiveness.

ADP bags Dexia BIL’s order - Venkat Pulapaka / Hyderabad
ADP Investor Communication Services, a division of Automatic Data Processing Inc. announced that Dexia Banque Internationale, Luxembourg has signed a contract to outsource its global proxy services processing to ADP. Dexia will use ADP’s global proxy products to provide its institutional clients with an end-to-end, all-electronic global voting solution in 83 markets worldwide. Dexia BIL is a key European-based player in the field of global custody and administration of investment funds and managed accounts. Fund administration and custody services are currently available in 10 financial centres including Brussels, Hong Kong, Paris and Zurich.

Rhombus bags Reliance ERP order
Rhombus Technologies, a Mumbai-based software company, has bagged the Reliance Webstore project to implement its WebCafe software in more than 800 upcoming Webstores across the country. WebCafe enables automatic billing and printing, and provides continuity in case the customer PC hangs. WebCafe also classifies different categories of users according to pricing schemes and time-based charges. The cost of the software is Rs 700 per PC.

SolidWorks guns for 40% share - Circuit EC / Bangalore
SolidWorks, a Dassault Systems company, and a 3D CAD software vendor plans to aggressively target the Indian 3D design and manufacturing markets. The company hopes to grab a 40 percent share of the Indian 3D CAD market within the next three years. It has tied up with Bangalore-based Ranal Software Technologies to market its products in the country on a large scale. At present the company has a 5 percent market share in India and operates through its network of 16 resellers.

Manipal launches IT Leads
Bangalore: Manipal Infomedia, a joint venture of the Manipal group and Tecapet/ Comcraft UK, has launched “IT Leads” a business information source that provides comprehensive information on IT and IT related products. IT Leads is available through print and electronic formats (CD-ROM and a website).

CMS dominates bill printing market
CMS, a company known for its technology solutions in traffic management and display terminals, is emerging as a leader in the lucrative markets of bill printing and cheque printing. Banks, insurance firms and even tax collection arms of the government need to print thousands of bills every month. This is where CMS with its high end printing solutions has found a ready market in industries like telecom, utility companies, banks and financial institutions.
