Sharp Business Systems, which represents a partnership
between Larsen & Toubro and Sharp Corp, Japan, has recently
introduced its new feature-rich MFD solutions. The company is heavily
focusing on document management space and recently launched this
solution in India targeting the corporate segment. Today we
are focusing on the document management space and are providing
a solution for the same. This solution is going to play a wider
role and will bring a major change in the corporate world,
said Sunil K Sinha, chief executive, Sharp Business Systems India.
According to Sinha, this new device allows users to get large volumes
of printouts in the lowest possible time. It also allocates the
print job to different printers on a network depending on the priority
of the job and availability of the printer. If a printer is busy,
it will reroute the job to some other printer on the network. The
company will be providing direct support service for these MFDs.
Another important feature that this solution has
is that of accounting and security. Through this, only authorised
staff can access and take printouts of confidential data, which
helps keep track of who is printing what and how many copies. Sharp
is also in the process of adding digital fingerprint functionality
to this solution. Access control is another very important characteristic
of this solution.
In the last fiscal, while digital copiers/printers
contributed 50 percent of the total turnover of the company, fascimile
machines and projectors contributed roughly 25 percent each to its
turnover. Sharp has a range of models in its portfolio, which are
not just copiers but laser printers and scanners as well. All
our products are designed to meet the requirements of all types
of businesses, starting from small offices to large networked organisations
with massive printing and copying requirements. Our copiers with
advanced hardware options and software utilities enhance workflow,
thereby providing convenience for todays businesses,
informed Sinha. This fiscal, the company is expecting a 13 percent
growth in its digital copier/printer business.
