Quantum, a leading provider of data protection and network storage has launched the ATL ValueLoader DLT VS80, the first Quantum 2U, rack-optimised autoloader to utilise the quantum DLT VS80 half-high tape drive. Priced at Rs 4 lakh, the ATL ValueLoader claims to be the most cost-effective DLT Tape autoloader available today. The product is ideal for small businesses, remote offices and distributes server environments. Automated data backups greatly simplify the tape backup process. The offering from Quantum uses a single DLT VS80 tape drive with an eight-cartridge capacity and up to 640 GB of data storage and 21.6 GB/hour throughput.

Features:

• Simple user interface: The ValueLoader autoloader uses a LCD display to operate the loader, essentially like an accessorised tape drive with a natural language, menu-driven interface.
• Simple cartridge management: The product simplifies cartridge handling and management through its single import/export slot.
• Optimal backup configuration: The product contains only one drive and eight cartridges, which rotate in a carousel around the centre-mounted tape drive and insert individually into the drive. There is a slot for each day of the week plus an additional slot that can be used for a cleaning cartridge or for additional capacity.
