Netpro is sole distributor for activePDF

Chitra Padmanabhan / Mumbai

K R Venkataraman

Netpro Technologies has signed a deal with activePDF as the sole distributor in India for its server-side PDF development and conversion tools for Windows NT, XP and 2000. The company will resell activePDF products via direct and indirect channels.

activePDF would leverage on the channel network and Netpro’s experience in the IT industry. Netpro will also provide technical and support facilities through their channel network.

“Server-side activePDF has the capability to convert at least 280 file formats directly to PDF across the network and helps companies reduce per-user software and support costs,” says K R Venkataraman, director, international marketing, Netpro Technologies.

The basic advantage that the product has in relation to single-threaded conversion products is that users can simultaneously generate PDF files without having to wait in a queue or experience problems with server overloads. Apart from large corporates, the product can also be targeted at the OEM segment as an essential component for their document management systems. activePDF Server can also convert over 40 image types directly to PDF. For HTML conversion activePDF offers WebGrabber and for other document types the user can convert them with the application’s native API or use activePDF DocConverter, rendering over 280 file formats to PDF.
