Interface Tester
 Centro-2000
Interface Tester is a microprocessor-based device that
can test any kind of printer or LPT interface. The tester
has been launched keeping in mind the service engineer,
EDP manager PC users helping them solve their printer
related problems. With the help of Centro-2000 one can
check whether the weather printer interface is working
or not without connecting the printer to the PC. It
also solves printer initialisation problems and does
away with vertical and horizontal alignment. This
tester covers all types of dot-matrix printer heads
and head-related problems. The user can fire each pin
independently to monitor status of each pin and generate
hard copy printout to access printer head status and
its printing quality. In the case of inkjet printers,
when the printer is not used for long the nozzles tend
to get clogged. The tester forces ink from all nozzles
and also indicate the ink level in the cartridge. The
tester printout also gives a complete status of toner
section related problem for laser jet printers.

Trifin Technologies
New Delhi-based Trifin Technologies recently
introduced KPT effects in the Indian market. Part of
the Procreate line of software, this collection of plug-in
filters works with Adobe Photoshop and enables professionals
to create image transformations and original effects
in a fraction of the time otherwise taken.
Features:

fluid: This filter treats the entire image as
a fluid. It enables the artist to create and animate
a variety of distortions. The control features included
in the package allows the user to determine the thickness
of the liquid and the size and speed of the brush
stroke.

hyper tiling: This particular filter allows one
to design pieces with complex tiling effects that
can be transformed through four dimensional space.

scatter: This 2D particle system allows the user
to scatter particles over a source image to create
intricate patterns and textures. Controls how the
particles fall—in a grid, in spirals or at random—customises
their density, size, and changes the hue, luminance
and saturation of their colour.

engine and numerous navigational controls.
