SMX
Technologies, a 100 percent subsidiary of the UK-based SMX
Group has launched its AMD processor-based PCs in India. These
PCs come with legal versions of operating systems from Microsoft
and also come with insurance coverage. The basic model from
SMX costs around Rs 28,000. Very shortly, SMX will be appointing
a limited number of dealers for its PC business in India.
Initially the company will target cities like Delhi, Calcutta
and Punjab.
In 2002, the company started its India operation with a vision
of being a one-stop shop to cater to all customers, big and
small, and meet all requirements. Our vision is the
creation and integration of computer systems that facilitate
the automation of existing business processes and to introduce
innovative technology for future business maximisation,
said Sachin Duggal, CEO and director at SMX Technologies.
The full solution concept provided by the company allows its
customers to move away from the traditional, multiple vendor
scenario, to a single point of sale.
With continuous training SMX says it ensures that it is always
at the leading edge of new technology, from VoIP to online
collaboration to provision of international SMS gateways.
Different areas of operations include hardware, software sales,
integration and development, Web development, managed IP networks,
application service provision and turnkey solutions.
