Iomega has recently laun-ched its entire range of Network Atta-ched Sto-rage file servers that deliver bre-akthrough pricing and performance. The range consists of Iomega NAS 300u and Iomega NAS P400u, P405u, P410u and P415u as well as the Iomega P400m, P405m, P410m, and P415m. Designed for the growing storage needs of small and medium-sized business and enterprise workgroups, the Iomega NAS range offer capacities up to 720 GB, hot-swappable drives, RAID 5 and RAID 5+ hot spare, easy installation and seamless support of multiple network environments and file protocols. In addition, Windows-powered P415m series give user the choice of high performance Gigabit Ethernet or SCSI backup options.
These servers are tailored to the rapidly expanding storage needs of the small office/home office (SOHO), small to medium-sized business, and enterprise workgroups. Each is pre-configured for easy installation in minutes. Iomega NAS servers transparently support multiple network environments and file protocols. The primary benefit of multi-platform support is the power it gives network managers to consolidate data from platform-specific servers across the network onto one easy-to-maintain device. To enhance data protection and availability, Iomega also bundles software for client backup and other precautionary applications. Iomega’s tightly integrated NAS servers combine industry-standard hardware and operating system components with Iomega automatic backup software for automatic, on-the-fly client backups.

Neutron Electronic
Videophone mm225

The mm225 is a fully integrated ISDN desktop videophone that combines a high quality telephone with videoconferencing, all in one compact unit. Calls can be made to either ISDN or standard PSTN videophone systems. The mm225 is a fully featured videophone, which challenges the picture quality, and features usually found on high-end professional equipment. Its advanced design offers telephone features such as a 100-entry phone book, incoming call identification and a choice of handset or hands-free operation, combined with videoconferencing features such as auto-answer, freeze-frame, local and far-end camera control, and a PC connection for application sharing. Its external audio and video connections allow the mm225 videophone to be used with a wide range of other equipment for Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) and Small Office and Home Office (SOHO) applications, e.g, a video projector for remote teaching and presentations, a document camera to view information pertinent to the meeting, or a camcorder to transmit detailed pictures recorded prior to the meeting. Its serial data port allows it to be used to share data with other similar system during a video call. With a 5” TFT LCD screen for clear, bright full colour picture, the user has an optional picture-in-picture self-view: movable, removable, mirrored to show what your caller sees and a familiar telephone keypad design for ease-of-use. Larger monitors can also be connected for better viewing.

Sun Microsystems
Sun LX50

The Sun LX50 from Sun Microsystems is an x86-architecture entry-level server that lowers cost of ownership and helps to fill the security and stability gap that 32-bit Windows-based systems leave wide open.
The Sun LX50 is powered by either single or dual 1.4GHz X86 processors in a reliable, 3-4 inch high rack server—about the size of a pizza box. It can be configured with up to 6 GB of internal storage. Sun LX50 includes fully integrated infrastructure software, improved manageability and a single source for hardware and software support and professional services that most vendors entry systems lack. For independent software vendors and solution providers, Sun’s open, standard-based architecture enables easy addition and integration of applications, systems software and services on the Sun platform. Customers can take advantage of the wide range of Linux applications developed over the past few years, including those for Linux distributions such as Red Hat or Red Hat Linux Advanced Server. Sun is working closely with the ISV community to provide a full portfolio of solutions for the LX50 systems, which offer their users an attractive entry-level platform.
