SureWave offers handhelds centralised management

Circuit EC / Hyderabad

SUREWAVE Enterprise Server 3.0, a product of JP Mobile Inc—a software provider that extends and manages corporate data on handhelds—offers enterprises the flexibility to extend applications to their mobile workers on handhelds like Pocket PCs, Palms and RIMs. The solution provides secure, synchronised access to Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Domino groupware, as well as the ability to develop and deploy field applications needed by mobile workers.

How enterprises choose to connect is within their control and discretion with SureWave—whether through traditional cradle, wireless LAN (802.11b), Bluetooth or any wireless network, including Mobitex, CDMA, GPRS, GSM and CDPD.

The product simplifies administration of corporate security policies for handhelds by incorporating features that can be implemented on-the-fly from anywhere in the world.

“By selecting a single platform to securely address all of their handhelds and applications, enterprises will see a dramatic improvement in their total costs,” said Dayakar Puskoor, chief executive officer of JP Mobile.
