Singapore
Exhibition Services, a member of the Montgomery Network and
an organiser of international trade fairs in Singapore, is
organising CommunicAsia2002, which will be hosted and endorsed
by the Infocomm Develo-pment Authority of Singapore (IDA).
The event, an annual affair in Singapore and scheduled to
be held from June 18-21, 2002 at the Suntec, is expected to
bring together more than 1,600 participating companies. The
event will be held in conjunction with BroadcastAsia2002,
a broadcast and multimedia event, and alongside CommunicAsia
Summit on a 50,000 square metre spread.
In addition to regular
events like MobileComm2002, NetworkAsia2002 and eBizAsia2002,
this years exhibition will see the inauguration of SatComm2002,
a focussed event on satellite communications for the telecom
industry. SatComm branches off from CableSat, which caters
to the cable and satellite players involved in both the ICT
and broadcasting industry. The eBiz section will cover the
vast opportunities that remain to be tapped with B2B electronic
transactions. The other highlights will include VoIP, unified
communications, e-finance, content management system and ASP.
NetworkAsia2002, which will focus on IPv6, the next generation
protocol designed to replace the 20 year-old IPv4, will have
network security and infrastructure as key components of the
event.
The MobileComm-Asia2002 specialist conference will be held
in conjunction with Wireless Week, a week-long
event featuring business-focussed as well as technology-driven
forums and seminars. Another high-level event taking place
alongside CommunicAsia2002 will be the Asia Pacific Telecommunity
Business Dialogue, a closed door gathering of top APT members
across the globe.
