Turnaround for software, consolidation for BPO
After the worst year in its history, the beleaguered Indian software industry is looking forward to 2002-03. At the same time, the exuberant BPO sector expects 2002-03 to bring in even greater cheer. Rajneesh De reports

IT-enabled services hitch on to BPO bandwagon
Software services might have received a body blow in 2001, but IT-enabled services has turned out to be the largest revenue generator for India Software Inc, thanks mainly to India becoming the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) capital of the world.
