Data Integration seminar held in Mumbai

Circuit EC/Mumbai

WebGain’s Badrinathan says with Web-enabled systems becoming the need of the hour, data integration is the way to go

WebGain, a provider of tools for automating and accelerating e-business, recently organised a seminar in Mumbai to highlight the importance of data integration for today’s enterprise. Nearly one hundred CIOs, CTOs, and senior IT professionals obtained an insight into the intricacies of data and application integration at the seminar.

Frank Teh, regional technical manager at WebGain Singapore, highlighted the need for integrating data and applications as the IT environment continues to become more complex and heterogeneous. He also explained the features of WebGain’s highly acclaimed data integration solution, TopLink. The seminar examined the criteria for data integration and interoperability of enterprise class e-business applications and brought out the challenges faced in developing a proven and reusable data integration solution.

R Badrinathan, WebGain’s director of sales for India, said, “Application integration is an enabler of business innovation. Enterprises would like to protect their investment in their existing systems by integrating their legacy and database applications to provide innovative new age Web-enabled systems.”

The WebGain Mumbai seminar was the first in a series to be held across Asia. The Mumbai event was managed by Express Computer.
