The Madhu Valluri Memorial Foundation (MVMF) was set up in
memory of pioneering IT journalist Madhu Valluri, who succumbed
to leukaemia in 1994, at the age of 38. Valluri launched Indias
first software magazine, Software Review. The MVM Foundations
mission is to help the common man understand information technology
by instituting educational scholarships and awards, holding
seminars, and donating PCs to schools and colleges. The Foundation
wishes to use IT to make a difference to millions of lives,
serve as a platform to award excellence in IT journalism,
and also help cancer victims in every way possible.
The Foundation is seeking donors to enable it to institute
a greater number of IT scholarships and awards to promote
excellence in IT journalism, organise seminars and lectures,
as well as contribute more towards cancer patient rehabilitation.
