ICT 2002 kicks in Mumbai off next week

Circuit EC/Mumbai

Nasscom 2002, the annual conference of the software and services sector in India will kick off in the first week of February this year. At a time when the entire software industry is reeling from the effects of a slowdown, Nasscom has rightly named the theme for Nasscom 2002 ‘India Software Inc Sustaining growth’. The objective this year would be on expanding horizons and charting new opportunities for the Indian software industry. The 4 day event which will be held at Hotel Oberoi Towers between February 5-8, 2002 will have speakers from India and abroad on how to consolidate India’s strengths as a premier IT destination. In addition, Nasscom 2002 will also examine global trends impacting the Indian IT industry, identify opportunities for Indian companies by geography and technology for accelerating growth.

In order to maximise value for participating delegates, NASSCOM 2002 will also debut special feature events such as end-user seminars and buyer-seller meets. Some of the other interesting additions to the exhibition are an analyst panel where the conference delegates will have the opportunity to meet with a team of analysts and discuss business strategy and tactics that may drive the Indian industry on to a stable growth path. Another special addition to the business conference this year is a country perspective forum which seeks to identify and explore business development opportunities in new markets as well as discuss the ground level challenges faced by companies in entry strategies as well as the visa issue.
