Circuit EC/Mumbai

Microtek Computers (Asia), a pioneer in scanning technologies and leader in graphic imaging solutions, has appointed Mumbai-based Rashi Peripherals as their exclusive distributor in India. Says Augustin Fang, managing director-(Asia Pacific region), Microtek, “We have appointed Rashi for not only effective distribution, but to add more value to product and brand at the local level. Their reputation as the best service provider only helped guide the thought process in their favour.”

Rashi will be distributing Microtek’s entire range of scanners, starting with the entry level SM 3630 and SM 3730. The company will also distribute the recently launched button scanner ScanMaker 3800, an affordable and easy-to-use scanning solution designed for the SOHO market, packed with award-winning scanning software and PC and Macintosh-compatible applications for image editing and sharing images over the Internet. ScanMaker 3800 comes with 5 one-touch buttons, which enables the user to launch scan, copy, e-mail, OCR or Scan-to-Web by just pressing one button. You need to press the button and the scanner will do the rest for you. ScanMaker 3800 features 48-Bit technology with 600x1200 dpi resolution.

The ScanMaker 3700 also features a USB connection for dual platform compatibility and easy installation with Apple iMac computers, Power Macintosh G3 or G4 systems, or Windows 98 and 2000 computers with a USB port.

Says Rajesh Goenka, divsional head, “Rashi is proud to be associated with the pioneers of Scanning Technologies. By partnering together we will be always introducing the latest innovations in the Indian Market.”
