Toshiba, the Japanese technology major, has announced that it will
set up a wholly-owned subsidiary in India. The new entity, Toshiba
India, to be set up with an investment of Rs 52 million, will replace
the liaison office that has been in operation in the country for
the past 16 years.
MysoreIT.com:
Another no-show
The recently concluded MysoreIT.com, has raised many concerns on
about the efficacy of such exhibitions in the current scenario.
Backed by the government of Karnataka with the aim of placing Mysore
on the IT map, the show only succeeded in bringing together the
reseller community of the city who showcased products from hardware
vendors such as Intel, HCL Infosystems and Compaq in an effort to
lure the retail crowd.
